Jeff Beal, the superintendent of Jackson Public Schools who has recently announced he will be stepping down from the position, spoke with WKHM about his decision on AM Jackson Wednesday morning. He talked about how the timing of the graduation of one of his children this year aligned well with him stepping away from his role.
Beal believes he will be leaving Jackson Public Schools in a better place now than where it was when he first started.
Jeff Beal had the opportunity to spend some time on the topic of his accomplishments as superintendent, including making sure contract negotiations with the district’s employee groups went successfully.
The outgoing superintendent also told our audience what he is going to miss most about his job with JPS.
Jeff Beal’s final day as superintendent of Jackson Public Schools is June 30.
