Michigan’s Cut of the Newly Passed $1.2 Trillion Spending Bill

When the U.S. Senate passes a $1.2- trillion dollar spending bill, Michigan was set to receive major investments for numerous projects around the state. $385 Million will go toward Mental Health and Substance-Use Disorder Services which will be dispersed within 41 counties around The Mitten. Childcare and Learning projects, P-FAs Contamination studies and local community projects will also see more money. $23.5-million will fund and support Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center in northern Michigan, according to Senator Gary Peters. Another 3 million dollars would be used for the Northern Border Coordination Center that would be located at Selfridge Air National Guard Base north of Detroit.
