The Ionia County Sherriff’s Office reports the accident happened in Orange Township, located between Grand Rapids and Lansing. A 26 year-old man was working on an elevated platform machine and fell roughly 20 feet on to the concrete floor below. He was taken to the hospital but died later from his injuries. No foul play is suspected at this time, the industrial incident is being turned over to the Michigan OSHA. No criminal offense was cited by police.
