A Michigan congressman is officially running for speaker of the house. Representative Jack Bergman says his hat is now in the ring. This comes after Ohio’s Jim Jordan has failed multiple times to get the 217 votes needed to be elected speaker.
The 76-year-old represents Michigan’s first district. It includes the entire U.P. and the northern part of the lower peninsula, including Traverse City.
