(Steve Ferency | Jackson, “Blues Town” MI) – The Jackson Blues Festival is in full gear at Reynolds Field (Jackson County Airport, Jackson Michigan). The event is being held June 2nd – June 4th and is the Jackson Blues Festival’s 15th anniversary celebration. Since the very first in 2001 the Jackson Blues Festival is going strong, says Cindy Hayden, Founder and Organizer of the Jackson Blues Festival.
Thursday, June 2, things started off just right. With acts like Jason and the Pocket Aces. Detroit Social Club, and The Dale Robertson Band. We even got a chance to see and hear the sweet, sweet tones of 16 yr old phenomenon Brendon Linsley. When I say this kid can play the guitar, I mean he can play the guitar. Check him out here >> SWEET HOME CHICAGO” – JIM McCARTY and BRENDON LINSLEY
There are eleven bands total in this year’s Jackson Blues Festival – so don’t miss out.
Jackie Hurst, of Mason, said, “Families, friends, or soon to be friends, they’re all here.” She and her family make the trip to Jackson each year to enjoy some of the area’s finest Blues musicians and the best part is, it’s all here in our own backyard.
