Cascades Humane Society to host virtual puppy shower

Jackson, MI:  Cascades Humane Society celebrates more than 20 puppies ready for adoption this holiday season by hosting a virtual puppy shower.

A virtual puppy shower is in the works at Cascades Humane Society as they look for community support to help more than 20 puppies, their moms, and other abandoned animals at CHS. The puppy shower will be a 2-week long donation drive at CHS and Pet Supplies Plus as well as  a virtual event featuring videos of the puppies and information about CHS and their programs. The event is scheduled to run November 5th  through 15th.

“We expect our first litter of puppies to be old enough for adoption in the next 2-3 weeks,” says Executive Director, Heather Leszczynski. She goes on to say, “This year has been especially tough on nonprofits like CHS who are not funded through local tax dollars. We hope that our puppy shower will raise awareness about CHS and bring in donations to help the pets in our care.”

CHS representatives have been working with locally-owned Pet Supplies Plus as an official donation center for this event. A gift registry can be found at Pet Supplies Plus and on CHS’s puppy shower webpage, www.chspets.org/puppyshower. Monetary donations can be made online, mailed to CHS, or made in-person. Supporters will also have an opportunity to order items from the registry through Pet Supplies Plus’s website if they prefer a contact-free option.

Pet Supplies Plus Store Manager, Abe Carefoot, was more than happy to assist CHS with this event, “Pets are our business and we are happy to help all of Jackson’s animals.” Pet Supplies Plus is located at 1094 N. Wisner St., Jackson, MI 49202.

Families who are interested in adopting one of the puppies should monitor CHS’s social media pages and the puppy shower website for more information.
