MI Dept. of Corrections on COVID-19 Cases and Preventative Measures

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Michigan Department of Corrections is implementing preventative steps to help protect the health of employees, prisoners, and community members.

The MDOC has ceased all in-person visiting of prisoners, which also includes outside volunteers and other tours and groups who routinely come into the prisons. The MDOC does not operate or have jurisdiction over county jails, so please contact your local county or sheriff’s office for information on county jails.
