COVID-19 Numbers update for Thursday, April 2

[Jackson, Michigan]

Today in Michigan we have 1,457 new positive cases of COVID-19 reported, and 80 fatalities due to COVID-19 since the last report just one day ago.

Total COVID-19 cases to-date in Michigan are 10,791 with 417 deaths attributed to the virus. To date, 67 of those cases were reported in Jackson county, 2 of which passed away.

Detroit continues to contain the highest concentration of COVID-19 patients. More statistics can be found here.

According to Johns Hopkins University & Medicine Coronavirus Resource Center, as of 5pm on April 2, 2020, COVID-19 cases have now topped 1,000,000 globally, with the US reporting the highest amount of cases. Approximately 200,000 COVID-19 patients around the world are reported to have recovered.
