A perimeter lockdown issued Tuesday for Western Schools has been lifted. Western High School, Western Middle School and Bean Elementary have returned to “all clear, normal function” after the lockdown which was due to an incident regarding a family in the district. According to the Western Schools Facebook page there was not a specific threat to any of the schools, this was purely a precautionary measure. The page also says safety and security of the students is the priority of the Western School District.
