25-year-old Amber Reeves was sentenced Wednesday to 10-15 years in prison for manslaughter and second-degree child abuse in connection with the death of Logan Tracy. Police investigating the death of a 14-month-old boy last October found Reeves had struck the child, then failed to seek medical attention when the boy became gravely ill. Jackson County Prosecutor Jerry Jarzynka released the following statement:
