20-year-old Jerred Ballard is facing up to life in prison after entering a guilty plea Friday to second-degree murder and felony firearms in connection with the shooting death of 18-year-old Zachary Frey last November. Frey suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head in the driveway of a home in the 300 block of Union Street November 6th in what was reportedly a gun deal gone bad. Sentencing for Ballard is scheduled for May 16th.
