Police responded to an accident Sunday morning around 5:00 at Rives Eaton Road and Lansing Avenue in which a 21-year-old woman lost control of her car and submerged it in a pond. After the woman escaped from the vehicle she walked back to a party she had left earlier. She did not report the accident right away. The car was removed from the pond Monday and authorities say the woman will be cited for failing to report an accident.
