One local high school will have a new head coach next year patrolling the sidelines of the basketball court.
Dan Crowley, head coach for the Jackson High Vikings boy’s varsity program is stepping down following an incredible final season. “I’m not getting any younger; and the amount of effort and time that you need to put in to do the program justice and the young men in the program justice, it’s time to hand the ball off to someone else,” Crowley said. Citing the commitment required to make the program successful, Crowley steps aside; but says he does intend to remain on staff at Jackson High as a teacher. “It’s a 12-month a year job, and I just don’t have the drive to do it now.”
“I’ve enjoyed it tremendously.”
