The Jackson Arts and Cultural Alliance is sponsoring a stained-glass walking tour downtown this Saturday, and Kate Manville-Schwartz joined WKHM to tell us a bit about it.

“It’s a walking tour downtown, it’s $10 for adults, $8 for children. It’s a great event for children and adults.” she said.

The tour consists of 6 churches, The County Tower building and the Consumers Mosaic at Horace Blackman Park. “You can walk up at 10am, 12pm, or 2pm to First Congregational Church,” Manville-Schwartz said, “or you can register online at artsinjackson.com

You can begin your own self-guided tour at any time, but Manville-Schwartz recommends starting with a lecture from Barbara Kreuger, who specializes in architecture that involves stained glass and places of worship. Those lectures begin at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm.
