Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — A busy street in Jackson will see traffic impacts from tree removals. The City of Jackson Engineering Division is closing the northbound lane of S. West Avenue between Glenwood Avenue and Union Street on Monday, March 31. Part of the street is closing so crews can safely remove hazardous trees in the parkway area.
S. West Avenue is a major street that connects several west side neighborhoods. The closure is expected to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, March 31 and wrap up later that afternoon. The southbound lane will remain open to traffic. A detour will be posted, taking northbound drivers to High Street, Fourth Street, and W. Morrell Street to get around the closure.
