Two men are facing charges after a shooting in Summit Township last month.
Deputies responded to Francis and Hollis Street on February 10 after reports of gunfire. They found bullet casings and an abandoned car riddled with bullet holes. Surveillance footage revealed the incident began as an argument between four men inside a nearby store.
Authorities say two men drove off in a black SUV, while the other two left in a small sedan. Video allegedly shows a passenger in the SUV firing at the sedan before both vehicles fled.
Deputies used FLOCK cameras to track the SUV, identifying the suspects as 29-year-old Kevin Jamall Johnson and 25-year-old Martez Anthony Haywood Jr. Johnson was arrested the same day on a parole violation, while Haywood remained at large until February 26, when he was caught in Las Vegas and later extradited to Michigan.
Haywood faces five felony weapons charges, while Johnson is charged as an accessory. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mark Easter at 517-768-7934.
