Jonesville Community Schools is on the hunt for a new superintendent for the 2025-26 school year.
The district’s Board of Education launched the search in February and is now gathering input from staff and the community on what they want in a new leader. The job listing offers a salary between $115,000 and $125,000, with applications due by March 18.
Current Superintendent Erik Weathewax, who stepped into the role in 2021, took after Chellie Broesamle’s retirement. She led the district for a decade.
The Michigan Association of School Boards is assisting in the search, with consultant Kacie Kefgen helping guide the process. The new superintendent is expected to start on July 1, 2025.
