On his weekly appearance on AM Jackson, Jackson City Mayor Daniel Mahoney commented on the recently-approved introduction to a paid parking system downtown. The Mayor says that the current system’s financial inefficiencies signaled that a change was needed.
The Mayor said he is confident about the ability for the new system to generate revenue, but would not commit to giving specific dollar amounts.
Mayor Mahoney says the City hopes to have the system in place by the end of June 2025.
