Spring Arbor University gets $5M gift for Science Center upgrade

sau

Spring Arbor University has received a major boost in its largest-ever fundraising campaign. Lois Mol has pledged $5 million to help modernize the Whiteman Gibbs Science Center, enhancing nursing education with state-of-the-art labs and learning spaces.

Mol, a longtime supporter of SAU’s nursing program, has already funded scholarships and simulation labs in honor of her late husband, Jacob. Her family has deep ties to the University, with multiple generations studying and working there.

SAU President Brent Ellis calls the donation “transformational,” helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. The university’s $80 million Ignite Campaign has now raised over $62 million.
