Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) – The City of Jackson’s Department of Public Works (DPW) will be conducting an urgent water main valve repair on Tuesday, March 4, resulting in a temporary road closure and water service disruption.
Clinton Road will be closed to traffic between Lansing Avenue and Monroe Street starting at 8 a.m. The repair is expected to be completed by late afternoon the same day. Approximately 20 to 25 homes in the area may experience low water pressure or a temporary loss of water service during the work.
To ensure residents were informed, the City distributed letters to affected homes on Friday, Feb. 28. Additionally, CodeRED alerts—including phone calls, emails, and text messages—were sent out to notify the neighborhood.
During the repair, Clinton Road will be closed to all through traffic. Drivers are advised to follow the posted detour using Lansing Avenue and Monroe Street. The City will provide updates on its official Facebook page and website, cityofjackson.org.
Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan accordingly and use alternate routes while the work is underway.
