Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson Area Career Center is hosting an open house today from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. across the street from Jackson College at 6800 Browns Lake Road. The theme of the open house, “Picture Yourself Here,” and what students can expect from going, was discussed on WKHM with Cybersecurity Instructor Jared Burke:
Burke said that one of his main priorities is to prepare his students for what the real-world workforce is like.
The work that the Career Center does would be near impossible without the assistance and support of local businesses, who also provide an indication of what they are looking for in future employees.
All 8th-11th graders and families are welcome to attend. Micki Morgret with WKHM’s sister station, K105.3, will be broadcasting live on-site from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m.
