Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — Jackson saw a heartfelt tribute this week as 45 to 50 U.S. Postal Service vehicles formed a procession to honor longtime letter carrier Deborah Marriott.
Marriott, who passed away on February 13 at age 64, dedicated over 30 years to the postal service and served as union president for Branch 232 of the National Association of Letter Carriers. She was also known for organizing annual toy drives for children in need.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department assisted in the procession, which traveled down Elm Road to downtown. Arrangements were made through Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison.
