According to Jackson County Sheriff Gary Schuette, on February 10, 2025 at 6:32pm, deputies responded to the area of Francis Street and Hollis Street for a shooting. The investigation determined that an occupied parked vehicle was shot several times. The occupants / victims of the vehicle fled on foot in a northbound direction; a Jackson County K9 was summoned to the scene and attempted a track but was unsuccessful. The suspect vehicle fled from the area and was located in the 200 block of E. Euclid unoccupied.
Deputies used video surveillance and FLOCK cameras to identify a 26-year-old Jackson resident as a suspect. The suspect has not been located at this time. It is unknown if the intended victims sustained any gunshot injuries.
