On Wednesday, Michigan State Police announced that Southwest Enforcement Team detectives, an MSP K9 team with Fifth District troopers, and Battle Creek Police executed multiple search warrants in Albion. The operation targeted a known drug dealer in the Albion/Jackson area. Items that were seized included large amounts of methamphetamine, prescription pills, handguns (one was stolen from a home in Calhoun County), and ammunition.
Evidence of drug distribution was observed, leading to two arrests: a 40-year-old Albion man charged with drug possession, intent to deliver, firearm offenses, and possession of stolen property; and a 29-year-old Albion woman on outstanding warrants. The investigation continues with expectations of further evidence and suspects.
