The 125-year anniversary party for one of Jackson’s most historic businesses, Gilbert Chocolates, is happening on Saturday from 12-2pm at their downtown location on 233 N. Jackson Street. Owners Brian and Sally Krichbaum spoke with WKHM to fill us in on the event, including the presence of Edie Gilbert and the importance that her knowledge of and personal connection to John Gilbert brings.
We also went over the benefits offered to people who decide to stop in for the event.
A free chocolate covered strawberry will also be given out with every purchase during the two hour celebration. Brian and Sally gave some insight on what gave them the idea of buying this important piece of Jackson history in the first place.
