The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 MLK Diversity Breakfast Celebration took place at the American 1 Event Center on Friday morning. The event provided an atmosphere where Jackson residents from all walks of life could come together to enjoy a meal and a presentation to honor and continue the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Chrissy Siders, CEO of TRUE Community Credit Union, took a moment to speak with us about how special the event is to Jackson.
Keynote speaker Dr. Tonya Bailey highlighted the importance of these events not only serving as a time of gathering and comradery, but also as a way to inspire real change.
Dr. Bailey told WKHM how she believes people can internalize the values and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and use them moving forward.
