DoorDash driver with criminal history arrested after shooting

shooting-investigation

Leoni Township, Mich. (WKHM) — A woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Leoni Township following an argument over a DoorDash delivery.

Police say 22-year-old Santannah Shayerrah Arrington faces felony charges, including assault with intent to murder, illegal firearm possession, and carrying a firearm during a felony. The incident happened on December 26 on Rosewood Avenue.

Authorities report the victim, a DoorDash customer, was shot after an argument about her order. The delivery driver initially left but returned shortly after, stopping across the street. The victim approached the vehicle, and someone inside — allegedly Arrington — fired a shot, injuring the woman.

The victim was treated at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital and has since been released.

Arrington, who has a criminal history including a 2020 firearm theft conviction, was recently released from prison in November. Bond has been set at $250,000, and her next court date is January 10.

If convicted, Arrington could face a life sentence.
