Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — Earlier this month the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce recognized Shafer Redi-Mix with the Small Business Person of the Year award, presented by County National Bank. Doug Shafer said it was a surprise, an honor, and not possible without his outstanding team.

It’s a multi-generational company started by Doug’s father in 1982, his daughter Erin is now the Marketing Manager with Shafer. Doug said he knew this is what he wanted to do from the start.
Shafer Redi-Mix first dipped their toe into big projects on O’Neil Drive in Jackson.
