Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — Police in Jackson are investigating a robbery and assault that occurred Monday in the 700 block of Greenwood Avenue. Authorities say a 63-year-old man confronted a 51-year-old acquaintance over an old dispute involving an unreturned laptop. The argument escalated, and the younger man allegedly punched the victim and wrestled with him.
The victim reported that the suspect had a folding knife in hand during the fight. The altercation ended when the suspect grabbed the victim’s cellphone and fled. Police have identified the suspect but have yet to locate him.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact Jackson police.
