Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — Jackson College has named Jon Gwizdala, a standout member of the USA Men’s National Softball Team, as the new head coach of the Jets softball program.
Gwizdala brings extensive coaching experience, most recently serving as pitching coach at the University of Toledo. His career includes roles at Davenport University, Western Michigan, and time as a volunteer coach at Delta College, where he began his playing career as a pitcher.
As a member of Team USA, Gwizdala competed in multiple international tournaments, earning silver at the Pan American Games and bronze at the 2022 WBSC World Cup.
Jackson College says they’re excited for Gwizdala’s leadership and experience to elevate the Jets softball program.
