Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Marc W. Daly) — A 15-year-old boy is in custody at the Jackson County Youth Center after a weekend shooting that critically injured a 17-year-old.
The incident happened Saturday, December 7 at an apartment on Blair Park Drive. Police say the 17-yearold was shot in the abdomen and rushed to Henry Ford Jackson Hospital, where he underwent surgery. He remains in stable condition as of Monday afternoon.
Authorities tracked the suspect to the Lansing area, arresting him during a traffic stop later that day. He now faces multiple charges, including Assault with Intent to Murder, Home Invasion, and Felony Firearm.
Police have not released the names of the victim or the suspect.
