Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The last person hospitalized after a drunk driver struck a picket line at Jackson’s Eaton Aerospace has been released from the hospital. Kyle Alger, injured in the Sept. 28 crash that claimed the life of UAW member Seth Webb and critically injured Aaron Fraser, has now been transferred to a rehabilitation facility. Fraser, also hospitalized, is recovering at home.

Police report that 23-year-old Jayden Chase of Rives Township, the driver of the Ford F-250 involved, faces one charge of operating while intoxicated causing death. Additional charges may follow as the investigation continues. The initial findings indicate Chase lost control of the truck while speeding eastbound on E. Michigan Avenue around 11:20 p.m., hitting five people on the picket line.

Webb, a 24-year-old Eaton Aerospace worker, was fatally injured and later pronounced dead at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. The accident left two others with minor injuries. UAW Local 475 members, on strike since Sept. 16, held a vigil the day after the crash to honor Webb, gathering at the site with candles, flowers, and mementos. Friends described Webb as tech-savvy and warm-hearted. GoFundMe pages have raised over $90,000 to support those affected.
