A very important fundraiser for Kyle Alger Saturday. Kyle was the young man hit by a drunk driver while among a group of picketers near Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. According to Kyle’s family, he is holding his own but remains in critical condition and is still in an induced coma. Kyle came through a complex surgery this past Saturday, ahead of a transfer to U of M Sparrow Specialty Hospital. The Alger family thanks the Jackson community for the outpouring of love, kindness and prayers. They ask for your continued prayers as Kyle has a long journey ahead. The benefit this Saturday, at the Grotto Club on the corner of Washington and Mechanic in Downtown Jackson, will feature live music, plenty of food and beverage, raffles and drawings, and more. If you can’t attend but would like to donate, those can be dropped off at the Grotto. Admission is $15, and a reminder the Grotto is cash only.
