Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — Under the gun to submit millage language, the Jackson County Commission voted to add to the November ballot an operational millage of 0.25 mills for 10 years for the Jackson County Jail.
The Commission held a special meeting Monday morning and the deadline to submit the millage language is today. County Commission Chair Steve Shotwell joined WKHM Tuesday morning to further explain the millage and the decision to move forward with it in November.
