
Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — Vandercook Lake Schools Superintendent Tracy Lowder told WKHM he turned in his resignation at a special board meeting on Wednesday.
Lowder will take the position of Principal at Portage Northern High School. We asked Lowder if that was a step down, and he said not for him:
Lowder has been the Superintendent for almost two years at Vandercook and feels the district is better off now than when he arrived:
The Portage Public School Board approved the hiring of Lowder at their Monday meeting with a salary of a little over $136,000. Portage Northern High School has 1,218 students and their first day of school is August 26.
