Workplace accident claims life of 36-year-old worker in Jackson

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — A workplace accident killed a 36-year-old die setter yesterday at Dexter Stamping off W. Michigan Ave. in Jackson.

MIOSHA is investigating the accident, per their initial report. The die setter was in the process of transporting and lifting a die using a crane when the die somehow broke loose and the worker was crushed to death.

Dexter Stamping officials have expressed deep sorrow over the incident and extended their deepest condolences to the family of the victim, and will cooperate fully with the investigation.
