Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — AWARE has announced that Executive Director Angelita Gunn has decided to resign and accept a new role with the State of Michigan.
The search will begin for a new Executive Director to help continue its mission, which is to eliminate domestic and sexual violence while promoting social change and empowering survivors by offering shelter and services.
“It has been my absolute honor to serve as executive director for nine years. I cherish every connection and exchange I have had with each of you and I am extremely proud of what we have accomplished together,” said Gunn. “I will continue to live in Jackson and look forward to seeing you around this wonderful community.”
