Jackson, Mich. (WKHM, Greg O’Connor) — On Jackson mayor Daniel Mahoney’s latest appearance on WKHM, we asked him about the panhandling issue in downtown Jackson. City council may take another look at this issue.
Mahoney described two types of panhandling — passive and aggressive, with passive being constitutionally protected. The mayor made it clear that poverty is not a crime, but he hopes to find a solution.
