KALAMAZOO, MI – Brent Koster was a 15 year old terror to the community of Kalamazoo in the 1970s. He would confess to the rapes and murders of 3 women, before being convicted of 2nd degree murder in 1972, and sentenced to life in prison. Koster was eventually awarded parole under provisions from Michigan’s ‘lifer law’, and was released on January 1st, 2021. He went relatively under the radar in the community until a photo from his ride sharing business was noticed online by Facebook user ‘Melee Sleeper’. The business called ‘Impromptu Rides’, used the slogan “Cash Up Front or Wheels Don’t Roll”.

Once Koster’s parole officer was alerted to the Facebook post he stepped in and banned Koster, now 67, from operating the business.
