Drivers on Jackson’s west side will want to prepare for the closure of a busy street. N. Wisner Street between Wildwood Avenue and W. Michigan Avenue will close to traffic on Tuesday, Jan. 9 so trees along the street can be trimmed.
N. Wisner Street is a busy street on Jackson’s west side that connects several residential and commercial areas. Trees in the street’s parkway need trimming to maintain safe clearance for passing vehicles.
The Dept. of Public Works expects the closure to take place from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
Access to homes and businesses will be maintained, though this street section will be closed to through traffic.
Drivers are encouraged to plan alternate routes around the closure, such as using N. West Avenue or N. Brown Street. Updates about the closure will be posted on the City website and Facebook page.
