A spokesperson for Triple-A, Adrienne Woodland says 1.7 million Michiganders are traveling, either by vehicle or airplane, more than 50 miles from home this holiday weekend. 178,000 specifically by airplane which sets a record for air travel Thanksgiving weekend since the bureau started keeping track of the numbers 23 years ago. 1.5 million will travel by car.
