Jackson, MI (WKHM) – The Jackson County Commission kicked off a year long effort to pass a jail millage, last week on WKHM. Although the entire commission has yet to approve, the County Commission Chair and County Commissioner feel it’s a good indicator that the deal is pretty much done. Corey Kennedy is heading up the jail ad-hoc committee. Kennedy told WKHM that the proposal from last year, has been cut.
According to County Commission Chair, Steve Shotwell, Sheriff Schuette may stay put.
