Free bus rides to cooling centers in summer heat

Jackson, Mich. (WKHM) — The Jackson Area Transportation Authority is providing free bus rides to local cooling centers during Heat Emergencies this summer. Free “Hot Tickets” have been provided to participating area agencies (listed below) to distribute to Jackson residents whose health would be at risk during a heat emergency (90 degrees or higher). These tickets can only be used to get to participating cooling centers.
