Jackson, Mich. — Cascades Humane Society (CHS) has announced that they will bring Paws in the Park, presented by Lammers Heating & Air Conditioning, back to Cascades Falls Park this year.
The event is Saturday, June 3, and will include a 5k run/walk starting at 10 a.m., vendors, food to purchase, kids’ activities, pony rides and a petting zoo, and a vaccine clinic. A shorter 1-mile “Woof Walk” is also available, as well as a kid’s “Doggie Dash.”
Another attraction to look forward to is Ultimate Air Dogs, a premier dog dock diving company. According to CHS, attendees can watch dogs run off a dock and jump into a pool, while they are judged based on distance. Dog owners can sign up to test their own dog’s ability at Paws in the Park as well.
“This is a family and dog friendly event that we all look forward to every year,” says Heather Leszczynski, Executive Director of CHS. “But most importantly, this is a fundraiser for the animals in our care. Events, along with individual donations, business sponsorships, and grants, keep CHS’s door open. We do not receive any funding from the government or state and national humane societies. Every dollar counts!”
