Jackson County Commission chair Steve Shotwell discusses recent and upcoming county projects

Jackson, Mich. — Monday, January 9, the Jackson County Commission held their first standing committee meeting of the year. County Commission Chairman Steve Shotwell said among the items discussed was Jackson County Road projects for 2023-2025. Shotwell said the county has a long term infrastructure plan in place.

In 2022, Jackson County used a recycle system to resurface Ballard, Page Ave., and Falahee Roads in Leoni Township, as well as Robinson and McCain Road. They will also be working on Blackman Road in Blackman Township and County Farm Road. Listen to more on the road projects below from Shotwell:

Also, the county looking to consolidate a few part time positions into one full time position.
