Jackson, Mich. — With an increase in respiratory illnesses circulating, including Covid-19, influenza, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), the Jackson County Health Department wants to make sure children are healthy when they return to school after winter break. For families impacted by illness this holiday season, having Covid-19 rapid test kits at home is one way to identify which virus is the culprit, according to the Jackson County Health Department.
Jackson County K-12 students and their families may pick up one box of two rapid tests for each family member in a drive-thru format Wednesday, December 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 1715 Lansing Avenue in Jackson.
There is no sign-up required and no cost. For more information call the Jackson County Health Department at 517-768-1633.
