Rochester, Mich. — The second and final debate between Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and challenger Tudor Dixon will take place at 7 p.m. today at Oakland University. Both candidates have some political star power behind them. Former President Barack Obama plans to campaign with Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Garlin Gilchrist at a rally in Detroit October 29, while Former President Donald Trump has put his weight behind Tudor Dixon.

Whitmer and Dixon’s first in-person debate on October 13 took place in Grand Rapids where they battled on topics ranging from abortion to gun laws to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The election is on November 8, although over 400,000 voters have already cast their absentee ballots according to the Secretary of State.

Tonight’s debate will be televised on WXYZ Channel 7 in Detroit, WXMI Fox 17 in Grand Rapids and WSYM Fox 47 in Lansing.
