Jackson, Mi:  The Jackson City Council meeting was held last night, Tuesday, October 12th, 2022.  The City Council approved several items, including a $1.2 million project that will replace a nearly 100-year-old water main in the 5-block section that stretches from N. Perrine Street from E Michigan Avenue to Burr Street.  In addition to the water main replacement, the lead lines will be replaced, and the streets resurfaced.  According to a press release from The City Of Jackson Public Information Officer & City Spokesperson, Aaron Dimick, “the majority of the project will be funded by federal funds”.

The City Council also approved Optimist and Loomis parks for upgrades, along with the resurfacing of the MLK Equality Trail from W. Prospect to S. West Avenue.  The trail resurfacing will be funded by the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Trick or Treaters will take to the streets of the City of Jackson from 6 pm to 8 pm as the City Council set the hours for this year’s Halloween tradition.
