Jackson, Mich. (Sept. 27, 2022) – Brayden Lape, the 16-year-old Grass Lake native that became an instant TV sensation after his performance last week on NBC’s hit show “The Voice” will perform at this year’s K105.3 Fall Fest and Chili Classic, the station announced today. Lape will perform at the event this Saturday (October 1) at approximately 2 p.m. ET on the Harvest Solar stage located at the intersection of Michigan Ave. and Mechanic St. in downtown Jackson.

Lape performed Niall Horan’s hit “This Town” on the show last week and received a nod from country music superstar Blake Shelton. Lape, now on Team Blake, will look to further advance on the show, which airs on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights. Check local listings for more information. Lape is a three-sport athlete at Grass Lake High School (football, basketball, and baseball).

With the addition of Lape to the lineup, the K105.3 Fall Fest and Chili Classic is shaping up to be a must-see event this weekend. The day will also feature local musician Kevin Nichols and fan favorite ‘Your Generation in Concert’ headlining the event on the Harvest Solar main stage. The festival will also feature a 95.9 Power Cow Stage sponsored by Monster Motors, featuring country music all afternoon by artists Jason Cross, Kaylyn Pace, Whiskey and Wine and the Todd Michael Band.

The event, which consists of the longtime K105.3 chili cook-off, vendors, kids’ activities, a farmers market, and more; is free, however, a $5 chili tasting wristband is required to sample the chili from more than 40 teams participating in the event.
