(Jackson, MI) – The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce announces the ribbon-cutting ceremony and 50th Anniversary Block Party for Vista Grande Villa. This will be hosted on Saturday, August 20th starting at 11 am, located at 2251 Springport Rd., Jackson. The ribbon will be cut at 11:30 am.
“We are excited about our 50th anniversary and encourage the community to visit and celebrate with us. This is a celebration not only of our past 50 years but also a launching point for many new and exciting programs and services we are rolling out,” says Chelsea Eisele, Executive Director of Vista Grande Villa.
The senior living facility offers accommodations for Independent Living, Assisted Living, Specialized Memory Care, and a Skilled Nursing/Rehab Center. This 50-year mark is also the beginning of upcoming renovations to the community. This came with the announcement earlier in the year of Kauhale Health overseeing the management and culture of the campus. These renovations will be made possible by a $5 million investment provided by Kauhale Health. Tours of the community will be available in this time frame.
A grant was awarded for E-Telehealth for Vista’s Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center which will provide around-the-clock virtual doctor visits to residents. The community is also launching the new Awakening the Subconscious of the Alzheimer’s Patient program (ASAP) for their Specialized Memory Care. This will bring education on the approach to residents dealing with any stage of Alzheimer’s or dementia.
The Block Party is a free community event from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm which takes place in the back parking lot at 2251 Springport Rd. starting with a formal ribbon cutting by the Jackson Chamber of Commerce and recognition of the longest-tenured residents. Refreshments by Junkyard Dog, live music from 5-Second Rule, face painting, lawn games, live broadcast from K105.3 from 11 am to 1 pm, and more!
This event is free and open to the public.
